Under 7’s- Well done to all four teams on the weekend where it is the first time I have seen everyone play. We are very impressed with the standard that is developing amongst our boys with some great attacking runs by a number of players. Well done. Paul Dolley.
Under 8’s – All the boys played really well on Saturday against a fired up Dalby.
Tries went to Tae-Lyn Craig Zack Reimers, Kallen Gierke and Noah Whittall.
Harrison Whittingham and Kayden Wright scored two apiece, with four tries each going to Declan Reen and Alex Lucock. Dalby made us work hard, and all the boys had a great time.
Under 9’s – Always a great day at Dalby playing against the Devils. Both teams played in exciting fun matches. Good work to Roosters 1 team great to see the boys passing the ball around and defending well. The Roosters 2 team showed great skills and performed very well also. Under 11’s -Well done to all players from Dalby for a very entertaining game boys it was a game played in the right spirit by both teams.
Our Roosters were gallant in a narrow defeat and showed a big improvement over our last game. The first half let us down a bit especially in that old mistake of line speed we just didn’t move up as a team or quickly enough. However you responded to coach Ken at half time by showing just what you are capable off and some really good defence put us back in the game. Some terrific tries scored boys and now let’s keep going on the improve. See you all at training next week From Ken & Garry
Under 12’s – We made the trip to Dalby on Anzac Day to play the Devils and even though we struggled to contain them in the First Half, our Second Half was much better. We improved our defence and Dalby only scored one try late before Fulltime. Our talk this week was about recognising that we had the ability to defend our tryline but we had to decide when we were actually going to do it. It’s up to the boys now, we are happy to teach them but they are the ones who have to perform on the field. They showed us in the Second Half that they can do it. Keep it up boys, work hard, believe in yourselves and we will improve and great results will follow. Also thanks to Ben, Max, Jack and Lipo from Dev. Cup for helping. Steve, Andrew, Wendy and Lou.
Under 13’s – Unfortunately the boys had to forfeit due to Anzac commitments. Hopefully the boys will be in full form next week. Coach Tim and Huggie.
Under 13/14’s – We played against Dalby devil’s today, many thanks to Makaihya Suey from under 13’s and all the under 14’s who stayed back to play in 13/14 DC. Well done Roosters. Rohan, Chris and Tanya.
Under 14’s – Thanks to Dalby devil’s for a great day. We were outplayed on the day. A lot of positives came from the day; remember to put into games what you learn at training. Never give up, never give in! Rooster!! Rooster!! Rooster!!
