Write up’s Valleys V Pittsworth

black
Under 9’s- Pittsworth gave the under 9s a good run on Saturday. Tackle and run counts were high with Kearnu & Brodie racking up 15 tackles each and Kearnu keeping busy with 14 runs. Tyler and Alex were only 2 and 4 behind Kearnu respectively with their run counts. Sam, Kayden, Jacob, James, Cooper and Fabian weren’t far behind with tackles either. We noticed Caleb stepping up and starting to shine, as did Tae-Lyn with his runs. It was a pleasure to see Lachlan getting into it and supporting the team by being where he needed to be and making half a dozen runs. Single tries went to Alex, Eddie and Declan. Sam and James went for the double, & Kayden managed a hat trick. Well done to all the boys – your training is paying off! This week Kevin’s team got up 7-6, with Bryce taking the white team who came in at 7-4.Many thanks to all the parents who helped with duties and/or contributed to the raffle and cake stall. As always huge thanks to the volunteers who turn up week in and week out.
Under 10’s-The young Danes had the roosters working hard in defense the valleys boys looked great in attack with everyone having a go. Solid runs by the g train Luke, Nate, slinky, Tarrant and Ethan kept the Danes on their toes Jodrell and Jacko getting over the line. Well done coach Tim Brothers v valleys Team red Went to brothers with tough men Tom and Bugsy crunching them up the middle the roosters worked well to cross the line with Kyan, George, Dane, and two each for Bugsy and Tom. Great to see the little big men hoppy and Jack f using sink the pink well great effort. Coach Tim
Under 11’s- The game started well with a couple of quick tries which kept us ahead on the scoreboard until half time. The second half didn’t go so well and after some nail biting minutes with the score being 18 all we conceded a try and Pittsworth took the game away. We need to work hard together to keep a game when we have it won. Keep up the hard work boys and work together as a team to achieve our goals.
Under 12’s- Wow, what an exciting game of footy! Both teams came out strong in the first half, but Valleys managed to break through the Pittsworth defensive line and score 4 tries, converting 1. The Danes tried to put points on the board several times, but our Roosters managed to keep them away from the try line and the score was 18-0 to Valleys at the end of the 1st half. The second half saw Pittsworth bounce out, hungry to put points on the board. The Danes managed to score 2 tries, converting 1. Our Roosters were unfortunately kept scoreless in the 2nd half by Pittsworth and the final score was 18-10 in favour of Valleys. It was a fantastic win to our Roosters, but more importantly it was great to see our boys backing each other up and encouraging each other!
Under 13’s- Great win today for the boys. They played to the plan and it payed off. Strong forward running laid the platform for the backs to do their job. Some great tries were scored. Good defence kept Pittsworth to one try. I hope Marco recovers well from his injury and gets back quickly. Let’s keep the positive attitude up and take it into the coming weeks Scotty and Clemy
Under 15’s- After a rest last week, the boys were pumped to play against Pittsworth. They took to the field with loads of momentum and enthusiasm. Your team commitment, defense and set plays were on key today and it was a real pleasure to watch you all. A big thanks to the couple of under 14’s that stepped up as we have a few out due to injury. Outstanding work from every one of you! You definitely earned the win today! Rooster!! Kris & Kristie
Under 16’s- Welcome back boys, it was great to see us get back into a rhythm on the field. It was also good to some really effective communication between you all, it certainly makes a difference. Our defence was much improved and from the kick off we were there to play footy. Thanks to Pittsworth for a good game. Craig, Kenny, Vicki, Johnno and Chris
