Under 7’s Carnival Report – Thank you to all of the players that travelled to Dalby again this weekend for the mini carnival. A great day was had by all. We were all super impressed by our players’ endurance with many of them having to play multiple games due to having so many of our boys off sick. I would also like to acknowledge the sportsmanship demonstrated by our boys they are doing a great job of upholding our club values. Go the roosters!
Under 8’s Carnival Report – The under 8 Cs had a fantastic time at the Dalby carnival. Everyone played exceptionally well and Shane Barnes did a great job as coach for the day. It was tough for the fellas playing back to back games with no reserves but that didn’t hold them back. By the 3rd game the teamwork was amazing and they were unstoppable! Denver was our player of the day with some great tries scored and consistently chasing down for some outstanding tackles. These boys are really starting to gel as a team on and off the field. Great job Roosters!
Under 9’s Carnival Report – What a great day the boys had at the Mod Carnival in Pittsworth. Between the 2 teams they played 7, 15 minute games. Special mention to all the players, who ran, & tackled their hearts out. So well done to Cooper, Harry, Fabian, Joseph, Sam, Tyler, James, Caleb, Eddie, Brodie, Rory, & Kayden. Each one of you helped both teams out & each other. Boys ended up with 3 wins, 2 draws & 2 losses. Each one of you were outstanding today & you all should be very proud to be a Rooster.
Under 10s at the carnival
Wow what a spectacular day hosted by the Pittsworth Danes with all clubs in full force and in great spirit with only limited time the young roosters were a bit slow off the mark highfields1 only letting team black have great tries from Kyan and Tarrant. Team red played highfields2 who came out on top with great hit ups and tackles, Bugsy, Hoppy and their talented captain Ricardo who was unlucky to be pulled short of the line on a couple occasions. Team blacks 2nd game against souths 1 was outstanding lead by the dynamic Jordell the effort was spread across the team great work Nate Dannyo Luke Jacko Tristan w with some solid hit ups Jordell and Tarrant combining for some brilliant tries. Team red’s 2ng game against dalby2 with Bugsy Dane taking hit ups captain rocket Ricardo combined well around the ruck with George to produce four entertaining tries also great defensive effort from slinky. Well done roosters. Unfortunately we came 2nd against brothers in the relay but our boys were still smiling. Many thanks to parents for helping and the champion under 12s boys for keeping the tens entertained with games and drills such great day to see all kids having fun. This is our last carnival as we move onto points next year to all roosters that have been with me for the last four years thanks it’s been a wonderful experience -Coach Tim.
