Woohoo valleys under 6’s. Fantastic game. I’m seeing skills that we haven’t even gone over at training. I’m loving how you are all working together as a team & making sure you give it all you have. Very proud manager here.

Pittsworth came to Valley’s on Saturday and it was a bit cold, U7’s played really well a few dropped balls in the first game but in the cold weather that happens, Our deference was awesome Valley’s saved a lot of try’s by pushing them back together. Boston had a great game he is quick to get the ball when the other team drops it, and there for support when his team mates needs to pass. Hunter consistently doing well with his tackle’s both boys had a great game, I wasn’t there with the second game but heard what a great job they done, well done roosters.

Game 1
COACH: Darren O’Neil
Great game of footy today against a much bigger Pittsworth side. A little pep talk beforehand had them muscled up with lots of sporting aggression in defence with same great tackles from all of the line and especially Hunter as marker. Everyone was in attack mode with some exceptional plays and tries scored from kicks. ‘Steam Train’ Lawson led the way with Nash and Cayleb all making breaks and scoring tries. ‘Little man’ Caden cleaned up the ball well from the back, chasing kicks resulting in repeat sets. Great game had by all even though it was a chilly start to the day! See you all at training on Tuesday.
Game 2
COACH: Michael Wilkinson
Awesome game by our under 9 roosters against a tough and ready Pittsworth. Cold weather on the weekend but our roosters were pumped and eager to get straight into the fast and very evenly matched game. With only 1 sub for back up our roosters were going try for try for nearly the whole match. The crowd was loving every minute of the evenly matched spectacle. It was an absolute cracker of a game. With the always dominating Kingston and Nash both putting on an absolute superb show with massive runs and tackles. When on the offence Nash scored 4 tries and Kingston also added a few more to his tally with the try of the match with a perfectly timed intercept that was pretty to watch. The complete team looked excellent we were on the way to win the game. So many good hard runs & hard tackles. Plenty of stepping and weaving as well. Great off loads and backing up from all the kids also with multiple try saving tackles.
Game 3
COACH: Dave Carey
The kids had a solid game this Saturday against Pittsworth who were very strong in attack. The teams were a bit shuffled this week but they soon adjusted to a new rhythm. We saw some breakthrough runs in attack and a couple of quick play the balls resulting in tries. The kids played a hard and fair game and did Valleys and themselves proud.
Game 4
COACH: Darren O’Neil
This game was played at the same time as our third so we had a mixed team up against a very fresh, keen Souths Tigers team. Our players were a little tired from their previous games but it only took a try or two against them to turn the energy levels up and make some great breaks, with steps and weaves from the little fellas, to get some points on the board. Frank’s confidence is growing each week and if he wasn’t the first up in a tackle he was close behind, must be the new shoulder pads!. Cooper and Nicholas played well backing up straight after a tough game against Pittsworth. Nash, Ollie and Jannali always keen to play again and our reliable Cayleb making sure everyone got a run and putting the tackles on, one after the other. Until next week Tigers!

On Saturday we took on a strong Pittsworth side. The first half was a fairly even game with both sides defending well. We have been working on running onto the ball at speed at training and it was great to see Slater Williams score a great try of a Jack Allen pass doing just that. In the second half the big Pittsworth side wore us down and we started to miss a few tackles and drop a bit too much ball. Overall the boys tried hard, led by Kaellan Duncan and never gave up all game and did there best.

Well the boys just keep getting better every week what a tough game we had on Saturday!!! The tougher it got the better we played.
These boys are buying into everything we are doing at training and playing some fantastic footy!!!!
A special mention this week must go to Lucas ” Hitman ” Slater on his bruising defence!!!

Excellent game boys! Some great displays of near perfect attacking and defensive plays were shown. It’s fantastic to see everyone getting involved and playing this great game to the best of their ability. Teamwork and effort was absolutely outstanding and that’s what it’s all about. We couldn’t be prouder of this team and the way you are all coming together.

The boys have trained hard this week coming off a couple of loses and it showed, coming away with the victory 48-4. The boys came out with a set game plan & stuck to it & the tries just flowed. Tries this week go to Jordain, Izzy, Noah, Cole, Leroy, Riley getting a double & Dom getting a hat trick, conversation to Jordain with 2 & Dom with 2. We seen a cracker 60m line break from the Cole Train. This is what happens when the boys come out and play for each other. Rooster, Rooster, Rooster,

The boys put in a great effort Friday night in very cold conditions. Pittsworth got the win but the improvement in the team is evident and I continue to be impressed with their “never say die attitude” and team spirit. Thanks to Scotty and Phil for taking the boys while I was at work Friday night. No game this week, but looking forward to spending some quality time with the boys.
