What a fantastic game today from the valleys under 6’s. They are all getting the idea of the game more & more & I am so proud of how well they are all doing. We had some good runs today, dodging the other team & getting that ball down. I love the sportsmanship too, if they pull a tag off they’ll then hand it nicely back to that person. Great job team, keep up the good work.

U7’s went to Brothers on Saturday, another big day with three games. I have seen a lot more confidence in some of our players most all Jasmine, it can be a bit overwhelming for girls to go up against boys twice there size, so confidence is a big deal, well done Jasmine on a great game! Our team is blessed to have great parents they support all players not just there own and know all the kids by name. At training we will be working on team spirit more this year as a team they are stronger, already I noticed more support from our more experienced players running up with team mates in case they need to pass or just running with them edging them on, On the third game they where tired but still put out there best it’s really great to see there skills grow every week. Great work Roosters

COACH: DARREN O’NEIL – Great game of footy today against Brothers we were low on troops today so teams were jumbled around from normal but the boys still played well. Cayleb and angry man Nash leading the way in the forwards little men Frank and Caden playing well once again. 3 – Nash 2 – Caden 1 – Jack
COACH: DAVID CAREY – Another great morning of football this Saturday. Our team turned up ready to play, and that was seen from the first blow of the whistle. Jimmy had a great all round game with some solid tackles and a few breakaway runs. Max, Conor and Nash were all over the marker role this weekend, and our defence as a team is improving each week. We saw some great length of the field tries by Callum, Max, Cayleb, Nash and Jimmy. Nate and Unique improve each game, as their confidence grows. Awesome work team! 3 – Max 2 – Kayden 1 – Nash COACH: MICHAEL WILKINSON – Game 3 of the day and what a great game is was to watch. The kids are really holding onto the ball and completing their sets running away with try after try. They were quick to move off their line and make the tackles so the brothers couldn’t get away too often. There were even some awesome offloads that turned into tries. It was always going to be a bit tough game without Kingston but they really stood up and played their best game yet. I couldn’t be prouder of the effort they all put in. 3 – Jack 2 – Cooper 1 – Harry

On Saturday we took on Brothers in an early morning game. It was a scrappy first half with a lot of drop ball by the boys. We spent the majority of the first half down our end but then we defended well and kept working hard for each other. The second half was much better. Once the ground dried out a bit our passes started to stick and we played so good footy. We scored some good tries in the second half and continued to defend well. Overall it was a good day with the boys playing well together.

Another great day for footy we had on Saturday, and what a fantastic game we played. We spoke before we went on that we were going to concentrate on our defence this week after our fine attacking effort last week. What a great job our boys did, Brothers had most of the ball possession the 2nd half and the boys repelled every Brothers raid which finished the game without a try.
Thanks again for the fine effort boys, you make our club very proud!!!
Thanks
Lee and Jacinta
Under 12 Girls
Valleys v Pittsworth at home. The girls all played well together with girls from Pittsworth due to a few of our girls with injuries. Hope had a fantastic night having played all day and backing up to play Friday night. I’m so proud of all the girls waiting with their team mate until the ambulance came. Lily & Hope scored try’s. Tallara was amazing in her leadership as captain and the whole team shined with their friendship. Jinikai, Emily & Sakrett along with Hope, Lily & Tallara all made good runs & coming together to tackle. It’s great to see the girls developing well as a team.
I can only give the girls praise after all waiting with Hope when she got injured on Friday night.

A slow start to the game against the top team. We had a great second half. We will learn a lot from this game and will see everyone at training.

Coach away no worries! Team you should all be proud of how well you can all adapt to any different situations we face. Be it last minute changes to positions or playing a game after a loss without your coach on the sideline. Getting points on the board quickly ensured we were not put under pressure and certainly helped the rest of the game flow well. Thanks to Clemy for stepping in as coach this week we appreciate your help. See you all Tuesday.
13/14 Dev Cup
Another great win Saturday with everyone working together well as a team. We made some errors which lead to defending our own line a lot and due to fatigue we let in some tries. The effort and determination this week was outstanding and we are very proud of each and every one of you. See you all Tuesday 100% attendance at training this week please before we take on Pittsworth.

Great effort boys! Although we didn’t get the win we certainly are growing as a team and improving each week. Brothers definitely gave us a high-quality physical game with both teams playing good footy. Discipline is the key for us and we’ll continue to work on minimising the “piggy backs” we give our opponents. Looking forward to our first Friday night game at Pittsworth this week.

We met with an undermanned Pittsworth side this Friday but that didn’t stop the girls from having brilliant fun. We had the opportunity to put into practice the skills we had revised during training with positive results. Fantastic sportsmanship allowed both teams to enjoy a cracker game of rugby league. Thanks to the Pittsworth Girls and Coach for making the trip.
