Under 6’s
We had a freezing cold day, but we had every single player in attendance. We vs Souths for 3
games & it was fantastic to watch. We had so many players scoring try’s. They are becoming so
confident & it is wonderful to see. Keep up the great work under 6’s. So proud, Rissa.

It was a cold one Saturday morning, and it got colder as the day went on. Souths came
to us and due to the amount of players they have we had three games. First game we
had two of the younger U6’s play for us Will and Jordy and they were brilliant! Really rose
to the occasion thank you boys, and to your parents for letting you’s have a go well done!
That made Boston, Rahkye and Issac our main tackler’s for that game there fitness and
skill put to the test they gave 110% well done boys. Dan took the second game for me
and he said they where awesome defence was great well done second team. Third team
all boys where on there second game and they had a slow start cold weather getting
them but they came together and finished off strong! Derrilin had a great game. We really need to stay away from the sidelines well done Roosters.

Under 8’s had another cracker of a week. The team is coming together and learning new skills.
This week at training we focused on getting the team to spread out and move up together in a
line, and as a result it all came together on the field this weekend. It’s great to see these young
players getting more skills and thicker as a team. Every week they are better and better. With a
new coaching Duo in Dan Whitley and Scott Keogh it’s onwards and upwards from here.

Great game of footy in freezing cold conditions today, our boys really stuck it to Souths dominating the game in both defence and attack. This bunch of young men and woman have come
such a long way since round one. Their teamwork is getting stronger each week especially in defence. Keep up the great work!
Coach: Darren O’Neil
Excellent game by our under 9 roosters against a very evenly matched up Souths tigers team.
Cold weather was a little confronting for the adults but our roosters were pumped and eager to
get straight into the fast paced match up. With only 1 sub for backup who was also backing up
from his game before our game. Our Roosters were going try for try for nearly the whole match.
The crowd was loving every minute of the evenly matched spectacle. It was an absolute cracker of
a game. With the always dominating Kingston having another absolute superb show with massive
runs, tackles and a few tries. Cooper and Kingston were quite e combination on the wing carving it
up. With Jackson, Harry and Max really stepping up this week. The complete team looked excellent. We were on the way to win the game just left it too late in the second half. So many good
hard runs & hard tackles. Plenty of stepping and weaving as well. Some great off loads and backing up from all the kids with multiple try saving tackles. Another great job Roosters!

This we played Souths in 2 under 11’s games. The first game was a close game with both sides
playing well. The boys defended very well led by some crunching tackles by Boston Norton. We
are still improving in attack but it’s good to see the boys try things we have been doing at training.
In the second game both teams scored some good tries and also defended well. Overall it was a
great morning off with heaps of footy for the boys.
Under 12’s
Well just when you think the boys can’t get any better they step up against a south side that I’m
told hasn’t ever been beaten. Wow what a game!!!
Our defence was so good that Souths couldn’t crack us and ended up try less. To you young men
wow what a year we are having I’ve had a lot of former Valley roosters say how good we are playing. So be proud of yourself and keep believing in yourself. Also we wish our little terrier Fabian
Thomas a speedy recovery after getting injured on Saturday.
Thanks

11/12 Dev. Cup
This week in Dc we played a great game against Souths. The 11 and the 12’s are starting to combine well and play some good footy. The boys threw the ball around and it scored some great
team tries. Including a beauty to our flying centre Albert. The defense was also good with some
great tackles by Ambrose and Tyler Yung. Overall the boys played a good team game and it was
enjoyable to watch them play.
Under 13’s
It was a great game to watch and the weather conditions were bad. They control the
game and coming together as a team.
Under 14’s
It was cold, wet and it was definitely muddy. All these factors contributed to some drop
balls and lost footing but we also played a lot of smart footy for the conditions. We had a
nervous slow start but as the rain got heavier, the ball and ground got greasier we improved and became confident that we could do it. Thanks to Souths for coming over and
helping our club put on a great day of footy. Well done for another week boys. We want to
see good numbers at training up until the holidays please advise ASAP if you are unable to
make any training sessions.
Under 15’s
Well the cold & wet weather made for an interesting game. The first half was quite frustrating as
we had a lot of knock on’s & sloppy play but when they came back out after halftime it was a
different ball game, more control of the ball & discipline & that showed up on the score board 40
– 6, with tried to Jordain, Blake, Sela with 2 & Dom with a hat trick, Dom also had 6 conversions..
Keep up the good work boys.
Thanks Josh & Barb
