U6’s played Gatton at Gatton on the weekend. The weather was fantastic & the players were
too. I’ve seen these children learn so much this year & we have coach Darren & U7’s coach
Chloe to thank. The kids are showing such skill for a young age & I’m so proud. Keep up the
great work Roosters. Rissa.

We went to Gatton on Saturday and our first game was tough, Gatton had great defence and
put my boys off a bit but they never gave up, Patrick (Paddy) showed us how big his heart is and
how footy is played well done Paddy and well done boys! Our second game Valley’s played
great, great defence and running that ball forward, Kody and Bently where on fire both boys

A very tough game today down in Gatton in hot conditions which was something new! Our boys
once again stood up against a much bigger side in a very physical game. Lawson and Cayleb lead
the way up front with Hunter putting in a great defensive effort. Well done boys!

Awesome game by our under 9 roosters against a very evenly matched up Gatton hawks team.
Perfect weather for it too. With 4 subs for back up our roosters were going try for try for the
whole match. The crowd was loving every minute of the evenly matched spectacle. With a superb
show from all the kids with massive runs. tackles and lots of tries. Both teams looked excellent.
The game was so evenly matched It was a draw in the end. So many good hard runs & hard tackles. Plenty of stepping and weaving as well. Some Great off loads and backing up from all the kids
also with multiple try saving tackles. Another Great job roosters everybody loved the show.
Coach: Michael Wilkinson
It was a beautiful afternoon to be on a football field this Saturday. The kids warmed up by
watching the under 16’s play a hard game. There was some very solid defence with Max C having
a massive game at marker. Cayleb and Caden has some fabulous try saving tackles. We saw some
great structured attack, with good straight runs from Quade, Carter and Conor. Lawson made
good solid meters forward and Rhys and Callum played well in First Receiver and Dummy Half.
Max O played well, captaining a winning side on his birthday, Happy Birthday Buddy!

On Saturday we travelled down to Gatton on a beautiful winters day. The boys attack is starting
to come along and in the first half we moved the ball around well with both our halves Charlie and
Jack directing us around the field. Our defense was good in patches but against a hard running
Gatton side we need to be good for the whole game. The boys will get a lot out of this game and
we will keep training hard and improving each week.

call up some DC Players and they played terrific…we only let in 3 tries for the game….

The 11/12 DC game against Gatton was a great game of footy between 2 evenly matched
sides. We started the game a bit slow but played some great footy later in the first half and into
the second. There was some great runs by LT and Tom as well as some good defense by Nic and
Wes. The boys are improving each week and the game on the weekend was enjoyable to watch.
Keep up the good work boys.
Under 12 Girls
The U12 girls played their first game back against Brothers after a few weeks off with a bye. The
girls have had a big week with DD trials, camp and injuries so energy levels were a little down.
They played well under the circumstances with a fantastic try at the end by Sakrett. Jamie was our
captain and led the girls well. Very proud of all the girls for coming and playing.

We had tough game against Gatton with a few boys away. The boys had a quiet first half but
came back with enthusiasm and strength in the second half.

Gatton turned on the heaters for us this week which was a welcome change from recent weeks.
We started and ended this game with the right attitude as always. Everyone played well and we
tried some new things which worked well for most of the match. Very proud off you all for your
efforts at training and on the field. This game marked the end of the first round and we now do
not play for some weeks. Training is just as important as ever when there is no games on the
weekend, please advise ASAP if you cannot make it to training any day.

We had one reserve and unfortunately we lost this reserve during the second half due to injury
but we are so proud of you all for making it through an entire game with one or no reserve player! It was a huge effort by all players on the field! There’s still improvements to be made but to
see you all dig deep, lift and put in like you did against Gatton for your mates unable to play due
to illness or injury was inspirational! Well done boys see you all at training another big away game
next week!

This weeks game was a tuff one but the boys lifted and stuck to the plan to come away with the
win 14-12. All the boys played a great game but TJ & Ysrail really stepped up today, great work
boys. Tries this week go Logan, Ysrail & Kooper with Dom getting 1 conversation. We have a big
week of training ahead before we take on Oakey next week. Thanks Josh & Barb

What a great game of footy from our boys. We showed plenty of heart and determination to
secure a physical win against Gatton. Every player did their job and we’ll continue to work on together as a team to eliminate the indiscretions which put unnecessary pressure on us. Very proud
of how far we have come as a team!
Under 17 Girls
Friday night is a great night for football!! After 3 weeks off we were keen to put our skills to
work. In our first half we worked hard to ensure we each fulfilled our roles. It was fantastic football!! Returning to the field with intensity in the second half we continued to support and work
together in defense. We didn’t back down!! Well done ladies!!
