Under 6’s
Under 6’s played against Dalby at Dalby. We had 2 games & played really well. There were a lot of accidental tackles instead of tag pulls by Dalby but the players didn’t seem fazed. Both teams played really well & I’m sad to see the season nearly over. Rissa

We went to Dalby on Saturday and U7’s had two games at the same time so we had three U6’s help us out and what a great job they done. Well done Jessie, Will and Jordy thanks for your help boys. We had great games Eugene took one team and said they played really great as a team great job, and my team took some hard tackles but they got back and played great stand out by Rahkye he did a lot of chasing and kept it up the whole game great effort boys and miss Tallahni.
Under 8’s
Fantastic effort by the under 8’s this week. It seems the long drive Dalby gave our team the time they need to wake up probably and arrive ready to play hard! With one of our player’s Billy Keogh out for the rest of the season with a wrist injury, the team rallied, playing 2 games back to back with no subs for most of the 2 games. A fantastic effort and turn out once again for the u 8’s.

Another great game on Saturday against Dalby which was a very competitive game by both sides try for try. Jace had a stand out game today leading the way in attack and defence. Teams are really coming together and playing well, working off each other and reading plays. Thank you for travelling to Dalby, it was a great day, the weather was perfect! See you all Tuesday for the photos, make sure you are in full uniform please. We will train afterwards until 5:30 pm as per usual. Under 10’s The 10’s had two tough games on Saturday with Dalby using their size, speed and skill to test our boys and girls. However, with the Roosters taking their training more and more into each game, they were able to stand tall and match Dalby in most areas. The team has been working on running on to the ball and drawing and passing in attack, and hitting and sticking in tackles, and chasing hard from marker. The team’s efforts away from home were great to see. Well done team! Under 11’s On Saturday we went out to Dalby for 2 good games of footy. Everyone played both games. They all played really well. In attack it was good to see the boys passing the ball around and supporting each other and scoring some great tries. We will keep working hard at training and will continue to improve. Great job boys.

Tough day on the park today boys. Dalby are always going to be a tough hard hitting team and we thank them for an excellent hit out. We were without a few players due to injury and playing in a few different positions we just didn’t seem to be able to find our feet today. We weren’t tight enough in defence then we were too tight, we got some good runs in a set and completed well then we didn’t complete sets due to silly errors. Errors cost us the win today not our spirit or effort hold your heads high boys be proud you always play to the best of your ability and with the right attitude. Thank you to the 13’s for stepping up today and helping out basically last minute we really appreciate your effort.
13/14 Dev. Cup
Small bench again today team!! Some backed up for a full 60 minutes straight after playing a full 60 minutes!! There was some outstanding defence today from all players and some excellent displays in attack. We don’t train together we don’t warm up together and most of the time we have a lot of fun which is what development cup is all about. We are very proud of how far this team has come this year. Well done boys on another great game.

What a win 38- 32 We are so proud of how the boys played, they dug deep, played strong & stuck to the game plan. Cole killed it up the middle making plenty of meters every time he touched the ball, we still have plenty to work on but we have the finals in our sight, tries this week to Jordain, Riley, Jacob, Sela & Dom with a hat trick, 5 conversations to Dom. With only 4 weeks left we are definitely working on a strong game play & leaving it all on the field. Thanks Josh and Barb

Although we didn’t come away with the win, we continued to be competitive against a much bigger side physically. We really need to trust our game plan and learn to follow through. Very proud of the improvement within the team and the heart we continue to show.
