Under 7’s – We are enjoying watching how you have all progressed since the start of the season and are really enjoying playing your rugby league. Great job everyone and let’s enjoy the last few games of the year.
Under 8’s- The boys played really well yesterday. They are now getting the hang of being on the field without Coach, and developing the skills they need to direct the play themselves. Two tries apiece to Harry Whittingham, Kayden Wright, Lucas Slater, Hayden Manning, Declan Reen And Samuel Lorenz, with Fabian Thomas, Noah Whittall, Lachlan Brittnell and Tae-Lyn Craig all going in for a single try each. A big CONGRATULATIONS to Lachlan for scoring his first try this season! Well done also to Kayden Wright and Samuel Lorenz in representing the under 8’s at the Broncos game on the weekend.
Under 9’s – Working well as a team boys. Keep up the enthusiasm and the hard work at training. It is a pleasure to see how you have all developed through the season. Let’s enjoy the last few games we have. Thanks to Dalby for a great game.
Under 10’s – It has been a pleasure to watch you all continue to develop with your football throughout the season. Keep working hard on defence and working together as a team in your attack and set plays. Keep up the great work and let’s enjoy the last few games of football with our mates.
Under 11 /12- What a great game today boys against Dalby in what ended up a nail biter with an eighteen all draw. All worked as a team with some great attack work at times and some great defence. You are all showing such great promise and impress us and your spectators with your game day commitment. Well done boys.
Under 11’s -What a terrific game from both sides today Big thank you to Dalby who made our boys work right to the end, Well done. For our lads it was a good test of where you are for the run home to finals footy and how well you perform when all players are involved right throughout the game, it was once again a Very good team win. It is obvious that you have to improve the second half of games when the intensity seems to fall away a bit, fix that and you are a good chance for more wins. Great day boys and enjoy your outing at the Broncos tomorrow. Ken and team.
Under 13’s – it has been a privilege to work with you all as a team and see you all enjoying your footy playing with your Rooster mates. Keep the hard work up at training and keep working on defence and attack. Well done boys.
Under 13/14 – Great to see the boys with a win in what was a hard and physical encounter. Our slide defence was outstanding and showed a lot of urgency in goal line defence. Boys were switched on for the full game and played to very end to get the points. A big thankyou to the under 13’s who helped us out on the day. Well done boys. Rohan, Kris and Bryce.
Under 14 – The first fifteen minutes was played at a very high intensity from both teams. It was the best start we have had all season. Just a few small errors saw the Dalby boys put points on us. If we continue to play as a team as we have this year and believe in ourselves for the full game, bring on 2016. You are all a great bunch of boys that continue to improve and impress us with your game day dedication. Well done boys. Kris, Rohan and Bryce.
UNDER 15 v DALBY We ground out a hard fought win against Dalby this week. A big thank you to the Devils, you all came out to play and you played hard and really tested us. Our first half was a little flat but our boys all came back in the second half, well done.
15/16 YOUTH CUP- This team continues to improve every week. You are all playing really well together, especially as you don’t train as a team and key positions are filled by different players each game. This was a good solid win against Dalby and we have to make mention of our front rower Jack O’Brien who played 5/8 this week and to Jack Caldicott who scored his first try. Great job everyone. Josh and John
Under 16’s-This week we took on second placed Dalby at our last home game of the season and scored an impressive 52-6 win. The most improved part of your game this weekend was that it was built on a defensive foundation and you showed patience in attack, to construct a 60 minute effort. With further hard work at training you will keep improving your combinations in both attack and defence, in preparation for your end of season games. Well played this week fellas.
